Falcon Girls Volleyball Wins League Title
The No. 1 Skyridge girls volleyball team has won the Region 3 championship with a 7-1 record, finishing the regular season with a 24-2 overall mark.
In their final contest, the Falcons defeated Lehi 3-1, winning the first two sets 25-16 and 25-21. Although Lehi rallied to win the third set 26-24, Skyridge responded with a dominant 25-11 fourth set to claim the Region 3 trophy.
- Skyridge's senior outside hitter Kylie Buttars led the offense with 21 kills and three aces, and also had 11 digs and 27 serve-receives.
- Senior opposite Hadyn Smith added 19 kills, while sophomore outside hitter Sienna Kuresa had 10 kills, 14 digs, and 15 serve-receives.
- Junior libero Estelle Slaney led the team in digs with 20, and also had seven assists and 13 serve-receives.
The team is now set to compete in the State championship.
