Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Shamima Muslim described the passing of former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings as a great national loss.
Shamima noted that her legacy in women's empowerment will forever be remembered, saying:
You cannot talk about women's empowerment in Ghana without mentioning Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.
She praised the late former First Lady for her contributions through the 31st December Women's Movement, which transformed the lives of countless Ghanaian women.
Shamima also commended Nana Konadu for standing firmly by her husband, former President Jerry John Rawlings.
