The New Orleans Pelicans have signed All-Star and three-time All-NBA center DeAndre Jordan to a one-year, $3.6 million deal.

According to Shams Charania, Jordan will join the Pelicans and act as a mentor for Derik Queen, the team's recent draft pick.

Free agent center DeAndre Jordan is signing a one-year, $3.6 million deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports Management tells ESPN.

Last season, Jordan averaged 3.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 0.9 assists in 12.3 minutes per game over 56 games.

Although he won't be the starting center, Jordan will be an asset off the bench and provide valuable guidance to Derik Queen.
