Mazda Australia has confirmed the arrival of the 2026 Mazda 6e electric sedan, set to land in Australian showrooms in the second quarter of next year at a sub $55K price.
The Mazda 6 sedan was a popular choice among Aussie buyers, and following the announcement of its discontinuation, Mazda has announced the launch of the new, fully-electric Mazda 6e.
Australian media recently had the opportunity to view a pre-production version of the new electric sedan at the launch of the G25 variant of the Mazda CX-60 SUV.
“Our partnership with China is long-standing, 20 years,” said Mazda Australia Managing Director Vinesh Bhindi. “With any model like this, we need to confirm that it is a global car and it is available in RHD.”
The 2026 Mazda 6e electric sedan will be built in China and offered to Australian buyers, marking an exciting development in Mazda's electric vehicle lineup.
