New National Youth Forum Launches
A UK-wide forum, Youth Council UK (YCUK), has launched to restore a unified youth voice in policymaking, 19 months after the closure of the British Youth Council (BYC).
YCUK, developed by the National Youth Agency (NYA), will represent young people across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and the crown dependencies, ensuring their experiences inform national and international decisions.

Objectives and Structure
YCUK will elect its first executive committee in January 2026, which will lead on setting national priorities, coordinating campaigns, and engaging directly with ministers and decision-makers.
