Blueprint for AI Regulation to Reduce NHS Waiting Times
The UK government has introduced a new blueprint for AI regulation, aiming to decrease NHS waiting times and alleviate the workload of frontline staff.
Liz Kendall, the Technology Secretary, announced the AI Growth Lab on October 21, 2025. This initiative will enable companies and innovators to test new AI products in real-world settings with relaxed regulations under strict supervision.
- The AI Growth Lab will utilize "sandboxes" where individual regulations are temporarily modified or disabled for a limited period in controlled testing environments.
