A New Partnership to Support People with Brain Injuries
Headway Devon, a local charity based in Exeter, specializes in helping individuals rehabilitate from head injuries.
Partners, including Thompsons Solicitors, MAPS Benevolent Trust, and the Players of the Postcode Lottery, recognize that people with brain injuries often face challenges after being discharged from hospital.
You've spent months in hospital, in ICU, in rehabilitation with a team of clinicians around you and suddenly you're all alone.
Many individuals may not understand the extent of their brain injury and may be navigating a legal fight for compensation without guidance.
Headway Devon currently supports around 100 people weekly, but there are more who go home alone without knowledge of the charity's services.
Thanks to the new partnership, Headway Devon can now provide support in hospitals, reaching more individuals in need.
