I am writing as a private citizen to share considerations regarding the current ballot measure.
While the intent to promote accountability in public projects is understandable, this measure raises concerns about its potential impact on Baker County's economy and private business.
I was taught by my parents the importance of community investment through planning, partnerships, and accountability.
However, this measure is not the way to accomplish this goal, as the term "event center" is not defined.
This measure misses the mark.
