The International Criminal Court (ICC) has dismissed Israel's appeal against arrest warrants issued for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
Despite allegations of misconduct against its top prosecutor, the ICC is proceeding with its war-crimes case against Israeli leaders. The decision was made on Friday, rejecting Israel's request to halt the warrant process while judges deliberate on a broader challenge to the court's jurisdiction.
Notably, Israel is not a signatory to the Rome Statute and therefore not subject to the ICC's authority. However, the court ruled that
"the issue, as framed by Israel, is not an appealable issue", as reported by AFP.
