PACCAR Australia has issued a recall notice for 349 units of all Kenworth truck models, manufactured between 2019-2025.
The recall is due to a manufacturing issue where the fitting connecting the delivery hoses to the lift axle spring brake may not have been tightened to sufficient torque, potentially causing unintended brake application while driving.
A sudden unintended stop while driving could increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted to book an appointment with their preferred Kenworth dealership for free repairs.
