Farewell for SA Ambassador Nathi Mthethwa in KwaMbonambi
Preparations are complete for SA Ambassador Nathi Mthethwa’s official Category 2 funeral in Dondotha.
South Africa will bid farewell to its Ambassador to France, Nathi Mthethwa, today. The official state funeral category 2 will take place at the Siyabonga Sangweni Sports Complex in Dondotha.
The late ambassador died in Paris last week and his body was repatriated on Friday. It was transported to a mortuary in Empangeni before being taken to the Mthethwa homestead.
A cleansing ceremony was held outside the homestead, led by the Nazareth Baptist Church, before the remains were allowed to enter. A night vigil was also held, where relatives, friends, and community members gathered to pay their last respects.
