Apeks, a renowned esports organisation, has paused its VALORANT operations due to key challenges and strategic shifts.
The organisation has decided to suspend its VALORANT undertaking indefinitely following its relegation from the VCT EMEA and its inability to secure qualification for the VALORANT Champions event in Paris and other significant VCT Majors in 2025.
The exit was mainly triggered by the recent decision of Riot Games to change the VCT slot duration from two years to one after the conclusion of the 2024 season.
This decision was taken due to the revised increase in the cost of running the project.
Apeks has withdrawn from the scene, citing the current performance reviews of the season as a factor in their decision.
