The Bluffton High School volleyball team eliminated Elmwood in straight sets in the Div. V Northwest sectional finals at Ottawa on Thursday, October 16. The Pirates improved to 16-7 with the 25-17, 25-17, 29-27 tournament win.
Elmwood fell to 7-15, ending their season after the loss. The team's performance was led by Kendall Stackhouse with 14 kills, followed by Taylin Goldman with 9 kills, and Karlie Lora with 8 kills.
Althaus fired a season-high 9 aces. Lora came up with 2 blocks, while Goldman made 1 block.
The Pirates will play Ottawa-Glandorf (18-5) at Kalida in the Northwest 2 district semifinals on Tuesday.
