Taylor Swift Fans Flood German Museum Over Viral Painting
A German museum in Wiesbaden has seen a surge in visitors after fans linked a painting to Taylor Swift's "The Fate of Ophelia" music video.
The painting, created by Friedrich Heyser circa 1900, closely resembles a scene in the music video, prompting fans to flock to the museum.
Museum Wiesbaden described the attention as a "shock" and said it is having an "absolute Ophelia run."
In response to the surge, the German museum has introduced special guided tours. However, Swift's team has not confirmed any connection to the painting or a visit to the museum.
The museum's experience is a result of fans identifying the painting as a match to the opening shot of Swift's music video for "The Fate of Ophelia."
