Simple feature found on pretty much every other new car on sale, finally available on the Suzuki Jimny | Drive

Suzuki Jimny Update

The Suzuki Jimny has finally added a digital speedometer, a basic modern convenience found in most new cars.

The 41-year-old Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series had previously beaten the Jimny to this feature as part of a safety update in Japan, which included a price hike of up to 16 per cent.

The update for the Jimny includes new driver-assistance features, allowing it to comply with the latest mandatory safety standards for new vehicles in Australia, where it is expected to arrive early next year.

The update may come with a significant price increase, with Japanese prices rising by 8 to 16 per cent depending on the model grade.

A basic modern convenience of a digital speedometer has finally come to the pint-sized Suzuki Jimny four-wheel-drive.
