UNC Asheville’s Toyaz Solomon has been named the Preseason Player of the Year by the Big South Conference.
Solomon was the only Bulldog to start all 32 games last season, averaging 15.7 points per game, with a field goal percentage of .610, 7.2 rebounds per game, and 51 blocked shots.
Delivered career-best outings throughout the year, including 24 points against North Florida, 15 rebounds at Central Arkansas, six assists versus Longwood, and six blocks against UNCW.
The Bulldogs were picked second in the preseason poll.
