Two San Francisco firefighters were hospitalized after falling through the floor of an unoccupied building while battling a blaze.
The firefighters, who were searching for victims, are in stable condition. They fell from the third floor to the second floor, prompting a "mayday" call.
At one point during the fire a mayday was called
according to San Francisco Fire Chief Dean Crispen. The firefighters were pulled from the building and hospitalized for evaluation of injuries sustained in the fall.
