A bird thought to be lost to science for over a century has been spotted in the remote outback of Western Queensland and the Northern Territory.
The night parrot, considered the planet's most elusive bird, was caught on camera in the spinifex grasslands of Maiawali Country at Pullen Pullen Special Wildlife Reserve.
The critical find for conservationists came earlier this month after Bush Heritage Australia researchers confirmed three photographs captured.
