The City of Kelowna has released details about the hacking of airport systems on Tuesday.
A hacker hijacked the terminal's flight information screens and PA system, but was shut down "within a matter of minutes."
The cyber security incident was limited to a cloud-based third party software provider.
Airport systems are segregated to protect against cyber security incidents. A threat assessment was carried out by the RCMP and Transport Canada.
All affected systems were isolated and restored late at night.
