Bob Ross Paintings to be Auctioned
American Public Television is hosting an auction of 30 Bob Ross original paintings to offset station licensing fees for their Create multicast channel.
The auction, which will take place over the next three years, is being conducted by Bonhams. The paintings were created by Ross on his series, The Joy of Painting.

According to Joan Kowalski, president of Bob Ross Inc., the idea for the sale came after two privately held Ross paintings were sold by Bonhams for around $100,000 each in August.
