Namibia Stun South Africa in T20 International
Namibia achieved a surprising victory over South Africa in a one-off Twenty20 international on Saturday.
A late surge by wicketkeeper Zane Green led Namibia to the win. Green, who finished on 30 not out, scored 23 of the 26 runs Namibia made in the last two overs.
With 11 runs needed off the last over, Green hooked the first ball from Andile Simelane for six. He then hit the last ball to the midwicket boundary for the winning runs, with the scores level.
The match marked the inauguration of the Namibia Cricket Ground, a venue for the 2027 Cricket World Cup in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.
