Daniel Flynn, at 32, has announced his retirement from intercounty football after a 13-year career with Kildare GAA.
'I love playing, it's all the other stuff'
Flynn's career highlights include two Leinster Final appearances and three All-Star nominations. He also played in Australia for twelve months and competed in every AFL division bar 4, the All-Ireland series, and the Tailteann Cup.
When asked about his decision to retire, Flynn stated,
'It feels like it has come to a natural end.'He cited the challenges of traveling to Newbridge four times a week from Enfield, which took a toll on him over the years.
