Mattel Executive Shares Reaction to MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE Director's Cut Screening
Masters of the Universe is one of 2026's most highly anticipated movies, with Mattel's Robbie Brenner hyping up the new take on He-Man.
After the success of Barbie, grossing over $1.4 billion at the worldwide box office in 2023, Mattel is bringing more franchises to theaters, including the live-action Masters of the Universe movie.
"I went and visited the set last year, and out of all the movies that I’ve worked on in my entire life — even Barbie — it was [the biggest]. I think we took over two or three sound stages. [Characters] walking around that are eight feet tall."
Robbie Brenner, President of Mattel Studios and Chief Content Officer, shared her reaction to a recent screening, saying she was "[blown away]".
