Jim Belanger Settles into New Role in Ottawa
MP Jim Belanger recently spoke from his Ottawa office about the significant changes 2025 has brought to his life, including the responsibility that comes with the trust voters have placed in him.
On April 28, the Belanger family and supporters gathered at a Chelmsford sports bar to watch the election results. As the tide turned in his favor, emotions rose, and celebration ensued as the gap widened, ultimately leading to his victory.
Belanger's win was notable, as he defeated Liberal Marc Serre, who had held the riding since 2015. Many had thought a Conservative had little chance of winning in the traditionally Liberal or NDP stronghold, but Belanger's campaign made a strong impression, particularly in the "sign war" across the region.
