Iowa Lakeside Laboratory Expansion
Iowa Lakeside Laboratory, a prominent water quality research facility, is planning a new 8,000-square-foot classroom and lab facility.
Construction will begin this fall, marking the first new addition to the property in 25 years.
- New building will feature a classroom with capacity for 150 students
- Year-round learning opportunities regardless of weather conditions
“Right now, we have one building that is year-round, so this more than doubles our year-round space for classes and gives kids an opportunity to get that hands on education with science and technology,” said Mary Skopec, executive director at Iowa Lakeside Laboratory.
The new facility will increase student exposure to water quality testing.
