Burkholder’s Country Market Goes Solar
Spring Mills-based store, Burkholders, is now home to the largest privately owned solar carport in the state, according to owner Russ Burkholder.
The store began researching solar panels about four years ago but did not follow through due to the slow return on investment.
The new solar carport at Burkholder’s Country Store reduces electricity consumption and provides a roof for shoppers parking their vehicles beneath the panels.
