Petrolia Discovery Devastated by Vandalism
The Petrolia Discovery oil heritage site has been vandalized for the second time in four months, with damage estimated at $20,000.
Windows, including some over a century old, were broken overnight on March 26.
This senseless act threatens our cherished site and places a tremendous financial and logistical burden on our entirely volunteer-run organization.
The Lambton OPP are investigating the incident. The foundation notes that early estimates place recovery costs at over $20,000, which is overwhelming for the organization.
- Previous vandalism occurred in late November with estimated damage of $500.
