Emmy and SAG Award winner Samira Wiley will make her Broadway debut this spring as Claire in the revival of Proof, David Auburn’s Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play. The production is directed by Tony winner Thomas Kail.
Grammy nominee Jin Ha will return to Broadway as Hal, joining previously announced stars Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle. The show will run at the Booth Theatre starting March 31, 2026.
A Juilliard graduate, Wiley recently performed in the Donmar Warehouse’s London production of Lynn Nottage’s Intimate Apparel. She has also appeared in the National Theatre’s Blues For An Alabama Sky and starred Off-Broadway in the 2016 Signature Theatre production of Daphne’s Dive.
On television, Wiley played Poussey Washington on Netflix’s landmark series Orange is the New Black and earned the 2018 Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama for Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, where she was also nominated three additional times for Outstanding Supporting Actress.
Ha made his Broadway debut in 2017 in Julie Taymor’s production of David Henry Hwang’s M. The following year, he portrayed Annas in NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, for which he shared a Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theater Album.
