Liberals Select Nick Tyrrell for Senate Run
Nick Tyrrell, party president, will lead the Canberra Liberals as their Senate candidate in the upcoming federal election. A longtime resident and local business leader in Canberra, he founded GoBoat Australia in 2017 at Lake Burley Griffin.
GoBoat Australia has grown into a well-known environmentally friendly tourism business, now operating across four states with its headquarters on the Kingston foreshore. Mr Tyrrell lives in the Inner South with his partner and their two young children.
He has contributed to revitalizing Canberra’s waterfront, creating jobs, and promoting the city’s lifestyle to both residents and visitors.
Political and Community Involvement
Mr Tyrrell has experience as a Liberal staffer and senior government adviser. According to a party statement, he aims to give back to the community that supports him by advocating for policies that improve life for local families, small businesses, and first-home buyers.
