One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has indicated that the populist surge transforming the UK political scene might soon influence Australia. This announcement came after her meeting with Reform UK founder Nigel Farage at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Florida.
Ms. Hanson said on Sunday:
“It was great to catch up with my friend Nigel Farage, a true champion for Britain, at CPAC.”
She praised Reform UK for changing the political landscape by standing firm, speaking plainly, and prioritizing their country.
Ms. Hanson highlighted that a similar movement is gaining momentum in Australia, with One Nation rising because it voices views the major parties ignore. She stated:
“That same movement is building here in Australia. Like Reform, One Nation is surging because we say what the major parties won’t. We speak for the millions who are sick of being ignored, sold out, and betrayed by a political class that’s completely lost touch.”
Ms. Hanson concluded:
“Reform is proving something the establishment fears, the old two-party stitch-up can be defeated. And when it crumbles, it crumbles fast.”
Pauline Hanson views the UK's Reform UK movement as a model for Australia's rising populist wave, reflected in growing support for her One Nation party.
