Central Florida typically does not include blue in its color scheme. However, on Friday night, UCF football players wore blue jerseys for their game against Houston, as seen in the image above. This distinct choice has a meaningful purpose.
UCF's blue jerseys are part of their annual "Space Game," celebrating the university's ties to space exploration and its aerospace engineering programs. The uniforms this year are the ninth edition and are called Mission IX: HyperSpace.
"If UCF's players fall under the motto of look good, feel good, play good, they should play great in these sharp uniforms."
Though traditionally known as the Golden Knights, UCF chose not to wear gold for this game. They are aiming for a strong win against Houston, who arrived with a 7-2 record.
