The former Fox News host Megyn Kelly sharply criticized the Republican Party following its widespread losses in the 2025 elections, describing Tuesday's results as a “total and complete disaster.”
During Wednesday’s episode of her SiriusXM radio show, Kelly expressed frustration with the GOP’s performance across the country, saying, “How are you feeling this morning ― like shit? Yeah, I can relate.”
“The Republican party needs to get its shit together ASAP ... They enjoy when they are embattled and in a losing position and complaining ― they love it. They do it really well.”
She further commented on the party’s struggles, stating: “Donald Trump is strong. Republicans don’t know how to win. They don’t know who to run, they don’t know what to do when Daddy’s not there to fly them across the finish line.”
The 2025 elections, the first major test of President Donald Trump’s second term, were challenging for the GOP. Democrats secured governorships in New Jersey and Virginia, expanded their majority in Virginia’s House of Delegates, and passed California’s Proposition 50, a move aimed at countering Republican gerrymandering efforts.
These outcomes have led to criticism from prominent Republican figures, including Texas senators, highlighting concerns within the party.
Megyn Kelly's harsh critique reflects deep dissatisfaction with the Republican Party's strategy and leadership amid significant electoral setbacks in 2025.
