Hayley Williams has released “Showbiz,” a surprise track from her third solo album Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party, which has officially launched on vinyl today. This new song joins “Good Ol Days” and “Parachute,” extending the original 17-song collection Williams shared over the summer through her label Post Atlantic and Secretly Distribution.
Williams co-wrote “Showbiz” with producer and frequent collaborator Daniel James, who contributed extensively to the entire album. The track captures a moment of romantic tension inside a club, shrouded in haze and fog. Williams sings:
“I wanna do it again
I wanna dance in the strobe lights
I wanna choke on the smoke
And feel your eyes on me.”
She reflects on whether this experience was as significant to the other person as it was to her.
The visualizer for “Showbiz” features the Nashville skyline alongside Williams’s signature scribble art, consistent with the album's artwork style.
Record stores worldwide marked the album’s physical release by hosting “Ego Nite” events. These included record playbacks, exclusive merch, and opportunities to purchase physical copies of the LP.
