Hayley Williams has returned with a new song titled “Showbiz.” This release coincides with the long-anticipated physical edition of her album Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, which fans can now acquire.
About “Showbiz”
The track features crisp drums, a vocoder-enhanced chorus, and shimmering synth textures, delivering a romantic indie pop sound. Produced by Williams alongside Daniel James, her collaborator on Ego Death, “Showbiz” draws inspiration from smooth, syncopated grooves similar to those of the band Phoenix.
“Showbiz” recalls the smooth, syncopated grooves of Phoenix — a fitting influence, as Williams sampled Phoenix’s 2017 song “Fior di Latte” on recent track “Love Me Different.”
