In Manhattan’s concrete jungle, the Harvard football team, ranked No. 9, demonstrated its dominance by overpowering the Columbia Lions 31–14 on Friday night. The victory crowned the Crimson as the clear leader of the Ivy League and extended their perfect start to 8–0, their best since 2015.
“This week was a challenging week, short week. A lot of people telling us how great we are in the media and to get the win and get out of here and play how we did in the first half, I'm just relieved and excited to get to the next one,” said Head Coach Andrew Aurich.
Quarterback Jaden Craig threw two touchdown passes, while tight end Seamus Gilmartin earned his second consecutive multi-touchdown performance. Running back Xaviah Bascon also contributed two rushing scores, helping the Crimson maintain their advantage atop the Ivy League standings.
Author’s summary: Harvard’s undefeated run continued with a commanding victory over Columbia, powered by a balanced offensive performance and steady leadership.
