On Friday, the National Weather Service (NWS) in San Francisco, CA, issued a dense fog advisory for the North Bay Interior Valleys. This advisory is in effect until 10 a.m.
The NWS warns of visibility reduced to one quarter of a mile or less in dense fog. Such low visibility can create hazardous driving conditions.
"Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous," said the NWS. "If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you."
A dense fog advisory is issued when widespread fog reduces visibility to one-quarter of a mile or less, which can significantly complicate travel.
