Antonio Brown Appears in New Jersey Court Amid Extradition

Antonio Brown faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted of attempted second-degree murder with a deadly weapon in Florida. He is accused of firing a gun at another man in May.

Brown's return to South Florida for the attempted murder charge was confirmed after he agreed to waive extradition in a New Jersey court on Friday.

An Essex County Prosecutor’s Office spokesperson told the Daily Mail that Brown appeared before Judge Kevin Barry and chose not to contest his extradition to Miami. TMZ first reported the hearing.

Brown was extradited earlier this week from Dubai, where he had lived for several months following the shooting, as shown in his social media posts. The 37-year-old was held at Essex County jail awaiting transfer to South Florida.

While in US Marshals custody in New York, Brown’s social media remained active, promoting cryptocurrency sites and an online sportsbook. One Instagram post on Friday stated:

God is good.

Brown faces a maximum sentence of 30 years if found guilty of the attempted second-degree murder charge involving a deadly weapon.

Summary: Antonio Brown agreed to extradition to Florida, facing serious charges of attempted second-degree murder and potential decades-long imprisonment.
