The 35-year-old Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence recently became emotional on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, leaving the host visibly uncomfortable. She has now shared insights into her feelings in a new W Magazine cover story for The Art Issue.
While filming the comedic thriller Die My Love, Lawrence reflected on her experience of pregnancy and motherhood. She is a mother to two sons: Cy, aged three, and a younger son born in March this year, with her husband Cooke Maroney.
Lawrence described her bond with her son Cy after his birth as feeling "completely connected."
She acknowledged that balancing motherhood with her career has been tough, noting the difficulty in returning to professional obligations after having a baby.
"I understood that the world wasn't designed around that relationship. Suddenly, you're like, Wait, how am I supposed to go back to work? Get on an airplane and fly away from my baby? Like, what are you talking about? Everything looks different after that."
Jennifer Lawrence candidly shares the emotional challenges of motherhood and the complex reality of balancing family with a demanding career in Hollywood.
