Ant McPartlin, one half of the presenting duo Ant and Dec from I'm A Celebrity, has moved out of his £6 million Wimbledon home following a conflict with neighbours over tree cutting.
Ant and his wife, Anne-Marie, had lived in the six-bedroom house since 2019. They invested heavily in the property, including adding a swimming pool and two single-storey extensions. The house features five reception rooms, a cinema, sunroom, walk-in wardrobe, study, office, a large kitchen, and Victorian-style changing rooms for the pool.
Plans to remove four cypress trees, a pine tree, and a yew tree required permission due to a Tree Preservation Order. Although the permission was granted in February 2024, neighbours strongly opposed the decision, claiming the trees were healthy and the removal was unjustified.
"No justification is given for felling these substantial trees, other than the applicant's wish to allow re-landscaping of part of their garden."
The dispute reportedly led the couple to decide to leave the home they had improved at great expense.
Following a heated disagreement with neighbours over protected trees, Ant McPartlin and his wife have chosen to leave their extensively renovated Wimbledon residence.
