Prince Harry Has Broken His Silence on His “Hat-Gate” Blunder During the World Series

Prince Harry Addresses “Hat-Gate” After World Series Appearance

Prince Harry recently spoke about a lighthearted incident during an interview with CTV News in Canada. The Duke of Sussex shared his side of the story following his and Meghan Markle’s appearance at Game 4 of the MLB World Series on October 28.

The “Hat-Gate” Moment

At Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Harry and Meghan were seen wearing blue caps—a move that raised eyebrows since the Dodgers were playing against the Toronto Blue Jays. While visiting Toronto on November 6 ahead of Remembrance Day, Harry playfully clarified the situation.

“I was under duress,” Harry said. “I was invited to the Dodgers dugout by the owner. I was doing what I thought was the polite thing to do.”

He laughed about the moment, adding another quip about his thinning hair.

“When you’re missing a lot of hair on top, and you’re sitting under floodlights, you’ll take any hat that’s available.”

Switching Teams and Smiling About It

Harry joked that after that night, he supported the Blue Jays for Game 5, 6, and 7, admitting it might make it tough to return to Los Angeles.

“Now that I’ve admitted that, it’s going to be pretty hard for me to return back to Los Angeles.”

Connection to Canada

Harry and Meghan have long-standing ties to Toronto. Meghan lived there for more than six years while filming Suits, and the couple co-hosted the Invictus Games in the city in 2017.
