Zarine Khan, Sussanne Khan's mother, passed away at the age of 81. Hrithik Roshan and Saba Azad attended her funeral.

Relationship with Hrithik Roshan
Despite Hrithik and Sussanne’s separation, their families remain on good terms. In an interview, Zarine praised Hrithik, calling him a kind person.
"I think he is in the wrong profession. He would have made a great spiritual leader. He never holds a grudge, never gets angry. Only extreme injustice against someone can make him really angry. Otherwise he just lets things go, even if someone wrongs him, or does something that upsets him."
Zarine Khan married Sanjay Khan in 1996.
