Marvel fans may soon get their first look at Avengers: Doomsday. A recent report suggests the initial trailer could drop before the year ends, possibly debuting ahead of Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Thanks to Film Threat, an insider’s description of the trailer has emerged, hinting at something intense and unexpected. Chris Gore shared:
“The person who saw it said, ‘It’s not finished,’ but this person was surprised by the amount of footage they showed of Doom in action... this is not a teaser trailer. You’re gonna get, not just a glimpse of Doom, you’re gonna see Doom.”
What stands out most is the portrayal of Doctor Doom by Downey, described as a “classic Universal Monster” reminiscent of The Phantom of the Opera. Gore explained:
“The way the character was described, in terms of Downey's interpretation, is a classic Universal Monster, like The Phantom of the Opera. It's a tragic figure and a broken figure, and part of it is his armour... Doom must have the armour because he has a broken body. He went full Universal Monster with the interpretation. He needs the suit to actually function.”
Author’s summary: The upcoming Avengers: Doomsday trailer hints at a somber, intense portrayal of Doctor Doom, emphasizing his tragic, broken nature inspired by Universal Monster legends.
