The first trailer for Marvel’s upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday is expected to premiere this December alongside the release of James Cameron's Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Collider reports that “multiple sources have confirmed that the first footage from the MCU's next big team-up film is planned to be attached to the latest installment of one of Disney's other blockbuster franchises, Avatar: Fire and Ash.”
According to Collider, this plan could still shift before Avatar: Fire and Ash reaches theaters on December 19, 2025. Avengers: Doomsday itself is scheduled to arrive almost exactly one year later, on December 18, 2026.
As of publication, Disney has not responded to IGN’s request for comment. The production of Avengers: Doomsday reportedly wrapped in September, though details regarding the storyline remain limited.
The upcoming crossover will unite the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and the original movie X-Men for the first time on-screen. Many actors from past Marvel projects — including Brie Larson, Famke Janssen, Elizabeth Olsen, Charlie Cox, Andrew Garfield, Halle Berry, and Chris Evans — have declined to confirm their returns.
Channing Tatum, reprising his role as Gambit, remarked that Avengers: Doomsday will feature “moments fifty times bigger” than when Wesley Snipes’ Blade appeared in Deadpool & Wolverine.
The long-awaited trailer for Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday may premiere with Avatar: Fire and Ash this December, marking the buildup to one of the MCU’s most ambitious crossovers ever.
