Remembrance Day Garbage Collection Advisory

The Ministry of Public Works and Environment informs residents that garbage will not be collected on Remembrance Day, Tuesday, November 11, due to the holiday.

“The Ministry of Public Works and Environment is advising that household waste will not be collected on the Remembrance Day holiday, Tuesday, November 11.”

Instead, waste scheduled for Tuesday will be collected on Wednesday, starting a “roll-over” schedule, with Friday’s waste collected on Saturday.

This week is designated as recycling collection week. Recycling collection days remain unchanged:

Household waste and recycling can also be dropped off at the Tynes Bay Public Drop-Off facility, which will be open on Tuesday, November 11, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Afterward, it will resume regular hours from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm daily.
