Elder Gérald Caussé Called to Quorum of the Twelve Apostles

Elder Gérald Caussé has been appointed as the newest member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The announcement was made on Thursday, November 6, 2025, in Salt Lake City.

Previously serving as the Presiding Bishop of the Church, Elder Caussé was set apart for his new role by President Dallin H. Oaks, along with other leaders of the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.

The church described the appointment as a sacred and significant leadership calling. This marks a new chapter in Elder Caussé’s decades of service and faith within the global church community.
