Elder Gérald Caussé Called to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles

Elder Gérald Caussé has been named the newest member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Born in Bordeaux, France, Elder Caussé is 62 years old. Until his new appointment, he served as the Presiding Bishop of the Church for eleven years.

Earlier in his ministry, he served as a General Authority in Germany and later in the United States between 2008 and 2012.

He and his wife, Valérie, have been married for three decades and are parents to five children.
