Several members of the Today team are stepping into guest hosting roles on the show Jenna & Friends this week. Craig Melvin’s appearance on Monday, November 3, marked his first time cohosting the fourth-hour program alongside Jenna Bush Hager.
The episode began with lighthearted energy when Melvin looked around the set and commented:
“This is a nice set,”
before admitting,
“You know, I’ve never seen the show.”
His remark drew a humorous reaction from Bush Hager, who replied,
“That is so rude.”
Melvin explained his confession by noting his usual schedule conflicts, since the third hour of Today airs just before Jenna & Friends.
“Well, because usually, we’re just getting off. I’m usually in transit, but this is nice. I could probably watch some of it,”

“To be able to sit next to someone different every day or two and do this, that’s a feat.”
