The recently released biographical sports drama The Smashing Machine is now available to stream following its theatrical debut a month ago. The film, produced by A24, stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as mixed martial arts icon and former UFC world champion Mark Kerr.
The Smashing Machine explores Kerr’s rise in the MMA world, his relentless drive for greatness, and the personal sacrifices that nearly destroyed him. Emily Blunt plays Dawn Staples, Kerr’s ex-wife, adding a personal layer of emotional depth to the film.
The film had its world premiere at the 2025 Venice International Film Festival, where director Benny Safdie received the Silver Lion for Best Direction.
The Smashing Machine is now streaming on-demand, including on Prime Video, where it is available digitally for $24.99 to purchase or $19.99 to rent. Even non–Prime subscribers can buy or rent the film using a free Amazon account. Rentals remain available for 30 days and must be finished within 48 hours once playback starts.
