Ryan Murphy, known for his controversial style, has produced one of the worst shows Disney+ has ever offered. Kim Kardashian, an original influencer, has always chosen unconventional paths. In 2014, she and Kanye West flew from their wedding in Florence directly to Cork Airport for a honeymoon, including a stay in Castlemartyr and a 3pm screening of X-Men: Days of Future Past in Portlaoise. This unusual choice led her to the Midlands on a random weekday in May.
Now divorced from Kanye, Kardashian continues to follow her own rules, seemingly unbothered by public opinion. This attitude is perhaps necessary, given her new legal drama, All’s Fair, is a clear failure and arguably one of the worst series on Disney+, comparable only to She-Hulk.
Despite the show's flaws, Kardashian's influence attracted a remarkable cast that could each deserve a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Notably, Naomi Watts appears visibly confused, reminiscent of her role pretending to be in love with a gorilla in Peter Jackson’s King Kong. Glenn Close also looks bewildered throughout the series.
“Whatever else can be said about Kim Kardashian, the original of the influencer species could never be accused of doing the obvious thing.”
“They include the great Naomi Watts, who hasn’t looked so confused since she had to pretend she was in love with a gorilla in Peter Jackson’s King Kong.”
All’s Fair fails to live up to expectations, disappointing even the most loyal viewers of Kardashian and those attracted by its impressive cast.
Author's summary: Kim Kardashian’s new legal drama on Disney+ is a disappointing and awkward production, despite its high-profile cast and her unique approach to stardom.
