UNLV Rededicates Court in Honor of Tarkanian

Before facing the Skyhawks, the UNLV Runnin' Rebels held a pregame ceremony to rededicate their court as the Jerry and Lois Tarkanian Court, paying tribute to the legendary Hall of Fame coach and his wife.

UT Martin Defeats UNLV 86-81

Dragos Lungu led the Skyhawks with 23 points and added five rebounds in the win over UNLV on Tuesday. Andrija Bukumirovic contributed 23 points, shooting 8 of 10 from the field, including 5 for 7 beyond the arc, and 2 of 3 from the free-throw line. Matas Deniusas scored 11 points, going 4 for 11 from the field and 2 of 4 from free throws.

For UNLV, Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn was the top scorer with 18 points, while Kimani Hamilton added 13 points. Al Green finished with 12 points and two steals. Lungu scored 18 points in the second half, crucial to UT Martin’s five-point victory.

Golden Knights Shut Out Red Wings 1-0

Akira Schmid recorded 24 saves for his second regular-season NHL shutout as the Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Detroit Red Wings 1-0 Tuesday night. Ivan Barbashev scored the lone goal with 6:15 remaining in the second period by backhanding a rebound past goalie John Gibson.

Schmid played in his 55th NHL game. His first regular-season shutout came with New Jersey in February 2023 during a 7-0 win over Philadelphia.
